The news from the Autumn Statement was interesting for Letting agent to say the least! Philip Hammond decided that agent fees for tenants were not acceptable and forwarded a motion to abolish them "as soon as possible".
Now for most agents, this would be bad news for them and their agent as inevitably, the charges will be passed to the Landlord and thus the cost of using an agent will become more expensive.
This is not the approach that we are adopting. At Elite, our business model is such that we work with tenants and Landlords ensuring that we offer very fair admin charges. At the point when fees are scrapped, we will NOT be passing these charges on to Landlords. Nothing changes and the same excellent service that has always existed will carry on as per normal.
Please do not hesitate to speak to Iain or any of the team here at Elite to discuss any concerns that you may have with regards to the above as we are always here to help.
